Abstract:

Research Problem: The development of modern technologies has become a global common infrastructure and priority due to its environmental, economic and social advantages. Due to the increase in population and expansion of the man-made environment and turning to architecture and interior design, the demand for energy for various purposes is increasing day by day. Therefore, the intelligent use of renewable energy plays an important role in improving the sustainability and energy efficiency in architectural design. Research Question: What effect does the geometry of the window and the use of optical shelves have on the reception and optimal use of natural light? Research Method: The purpose of the present research is the feasibility of using new technologies, including optical racks, in architectural design, emphasizing the approach of increasing the efficiency of renewable energy (sunlight) in Arian Tower, Hamedan.  Research method: Applied research has a quantitative nature and data analysis method is combined, descriptive-analytical and simulation. Collecting information is done by field surveys in the space of Aryan Tower and collecting data with devices such as lux meters. By using Design Builder and Ecotect software, the role of light shelves on providing natural lighting in Arian Tower is investigate The Most Important Results and Conclusion: The investigations carried out on the building unit show that the internal parts of the plan do not receive any natural light and this problem causes the increase in energy consumption. It is because the lamps are turned on to provide lighting. By installing a light ledge, which is one of the methods of using renewable energy, an attempt was made to bring the light to the depth of the plan, and this system performed well in performing its task and received the Green Star certificate. Finally, it was concluded that the use of optical shelf has a significant effect in reducing the cold and heat load and especially increasing the lighting load.

Abstract:

This research focuses on the effect of passive methods in the field of energy storage, produce energy by using renewable energies, and also to achieve the construction patterns of residential buildings in the climate conditions of Shiraz, with the aim reducing energy consumption. Statistics show that in Iran, fuel consumption in residential and commercial buildings with an average annual growth of 7. It is about 2.37% of the country's total fuel consumption. One way to minimize energy consumption in this sector is to increase the role of zero-energy buildings. Zero-energy buildings provide technical ways to consume less energy in buildings. These buildings are designed and built so that all or a large part of these provide the energy they need through the combination of energy saving and the use of renewable energy technology. In this research, after studying the climate condition of the city of Shiraz, a building in the Energy Plus software, the simulation and climatic data of the Shiraz station was introduced to the software. To achieve the most optimal conditions of energy consumption in the climatic conditions of Shiraz, each of the building elements Residential was optimized. The simulation shows that it is possible to reduce the energy consumption of the building by using passive building materials and designs, including double-glazed glass, Wall insulation, etc. On the other hand, by using solar energy, using pvsyst software, you can supply the energy needed by the building.

Abstract:

In recent decades, the welfare of human being is seriously threatened by climate change. As a result, numerous energy regulations have been put in place to encourage the expansion of investments in renewable energy. In this context, open questions remain regarding the impacts that these policies may have on generation expansion planning (GEP). This paper addresses this issue by applying three of the most widely adopted energy strategies, namely quota obligation, feed-in tariffs, and emission trade system, to the GEP problem, resulting in an integrated renewable-conventional generation expansion planning (IRCGEP) model with a properly modified cost function and extra constraints. To achieve this aim, first, the IRCGEP model is solved using general algebraic modeling system from a generation company (GENCO) perspective. Afterward, according to the obtained optimized expansion strategies, the policies impact on the social welfare terms including consumer surplus, GENCO profit, and environmental damages cost are investigated, while they are included on the Bergson-Samuelson social welfare function. Moreover, to assess the financing mechanism effect of the policies on consumer surplus, a suitable attribute known as the "virtual price" is put forth. Numerical studies shed light on the reactions of investment decisions and the social welfare to the energy policies.

Abstract:

The world is on the brink of a significant transformation in the energy sector. Rising concerns about climate change and the depletion of fossil fuel resources have accelerated the transition towards renewable energy sources. This study focuses on examining the global upward trend in adopting renewable technologies such as solar, wind, and hydropower. Findings indicate significant progress in the production and increased share of renewable energy in the global energy mix, attributed in part to domestic and international regulations and commitments to sustainable energy provision, as well as a growing trend in demand. Several critical factors influence this transition, including government support policies, investments, and technological innovations, which play a substantial role in creating economic opportunities, generating employment, and impacting the environment and local communities. However, despite these significant advances, challenges such as financial, technological, regulatory, and policy limitations persist, requiring targeted planning and special attention.

Abstract:

Consumption of polluting energy against economic welfare puts the policymaker on a dilemma-achieving economic prosperity as the ultimate goal of the economy or increasing energy consumption for economic growth. The main goal of this research is to test this duality and specifically the presence of an inverted U relationship between economic welfare and energy consumption using the Feasible Generalized Least Squares method for panel data of 117 countries (77 countries with low energy intensity and 40 countries with high energy intensity) in the period of 2007-2019. Findings of the present study indicate the existence of an inverted U relationship between energy consumption and economic welfare and confirm the hypothesis of the Kuznets curve. The noteworthy point in the findings of this study is the dynamics of the general pattern of welfare by a change in energy consumption, so that for countries with low energy intensity and also renewable energy, the threshold limit of welfare is reached faster, and after that, welfare decreases at a slower rate than the upward trend of the curve. Based on this, it seems that countries can adjust the path with consistent and optimal policies and delay reaching the stage of welfare reduction.
